I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with 23 years of clinical, faculty, and administrative experience within a diversity of settings and populations. I bring an attentive and proactive approach to provide strong assessments, staff supervision, effective case management, crisis response, and outcomes assessment. This is coupled with education and training in nutrition as well as multicultural competency to enhance a client’s well-being.
As the Director of counseling at two difference universities, I have counselled college students with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, transition difficulties, relationship issues and problem with athletic performance.
My 7 years of experience with substance dependence early in my career provided me with the realization that effective counseling starts by meeting clients where they are. Helping people at the lowest point in their life has shown me the value of each person regardless of their situation and status.
I have an MS in Counseling and a BS in Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) and a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner (CHHC).
